Who is La Chilindrinha?

La Chilindrina, played by María Antonieta de las Nieves, is the daughter of Don Ramón and a friend of El Chavo and Quico. Her mother died when she was born, leaving her to be taken care of only by her father. At 8 years old, she is the smartest among the children, and the most cunning and mischievous at school and in the village. La Chilindrina takes advantage of Quico and Chavo’s stupidity, for whom she has an innocent and deep unrequited love. She does not like Doña Florinda, nor does Florinda like her. She always calls Doña Clotilde a witch, and loves her father very much, but always ruins his chances of getting away from Doña Florinda's slaps. Her name was given by her father because she looks like Chilindrinas; bread sprinkled with sugar because of the freckles on her face, inherited from her great-grandmother Doña Neves. Clever, La Chilindrina loves to play pranks and to get the better of her friends, El Chavo and Quico, who always fall for the girl's tricks. Despite her schemes, La Chilindrina has a good heart and is capable of making friends with anyone. So much so that she is secretly in love with El Chavo, which makes her jealous of Paty, a schoolmate for whom El Chavo and Quico are in love with.

Freckled, short, and a bit manipulative, the clever and mischievous girl with black hair tied in messy pigtails, glasses, green dress, and a red coat, crosses her arms with clenched fists while turning her face to the left in rhythmic and repetitive movements characteristic of her cry called "neighing," in which she makes a tremendous fuss out of tantrum or misbehavior. Here, she rebels when compared to the face of a horror mask she uses to scare her friends, a face with a mask included on an extra interchangeable head. On top of a base from the central courtyard of the village where she lives with her beloved and clumsy father, Iron Studios proudly answers the request of fans and collectors by bringing the long-awaited and desired statue "La Chilindrina – El Chavo del Ocho - Art Scale 1/10", completing the main cast of protagonist characters from the El Chavo del Ocho show!
