Description
On a moisture farm in the hot, arid, desert world of Tatooine, a small astromech droid and his best friend and ally, an eloquent protocol droid, embark on yet another adventure — one bound by fate to the Skywalker family dynasty. In this isolated place, dedicated to harvesting water by extracting moisture from the dry air, the property of the Lars family where Luke Skywalker was adopted, the two robotic partners — acquired by the owner of the land — seek to fulfill their mission of delivering a message of utmost importance to an old Jedi Master.
Joining forces with young Luke Skywalker, these unmistakable droids set off on another adventure, joining the Rebel Alliance and helping to pave the path toward the heroes' victory and the fall of the evil Galactic Empire. Always together, they are the only characters present in all nine films of the saga, in the spin-off Rogue One, and many more. Among the most beloved Star Wars characters, Iron Studios proudly presents the statue "C-3PO and R2-D2 Deluxe - Star Wars - Art Scale 1/10," featuring these iconic symbols of Star Wars together for the first time in an Iron Studios statue.
C-3PO is a 3PO-series protocol droid designed to interact with organic beings, primarily programmed for etiquette and protocol. He was fluent in over six million forms of communication and developed a flamboyant and worry-prone personality over several decades of operation. Alongside his partner, the astromech droid R2-D2, C-3PO constantly found himself involved in critical moments of the galactic timeline.
C-3PO was built from spare parts by Anakin Skywalker, a human slave living in Mos Espa, a city on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine. C-3PO's memory was wiped — though R2-D2’s was not. The pair were later assigned to Alderaan's cruiser Tantive IV, where they served Bail Organa for nineteen years. At some point during that time, the protocol droid's right leg was fitted with mismatched paint.
The duo then became entangled in the Galactic Civil War when Leia Organa of the Rebel Alliance entrusted them with delivering a copy of the Death Star plans to Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine. After meeting Luke Skywalker and smuggler Han Solo, the droids helped rescue Princess Leia from the Empire's Death Star. They soon became involved with the three humans, helping the Rebellion defeat the Empire and restore freedom to the galaxy.
Iconic Star Wars characters, introduced on Thursday, November 30th, at the Ultra Auditorium panel during CCXP 2023, and then displayed at the Iron Studios booth with global pre-orders already available, this legendary droid duo marks a landmark release. It features characters from the classic trilogy in a way not seen in new Iron Studios releases for quite some time.
