Two-Face is one of Batman’s most classic villains, created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger in 1942, inspired by the story of Robert Louis Stevenson’s The Doctor and the Monster.
After having the left side of his face disfigured by acid in a mobster’s assault, former public prosecutor Harvey Dent went mad, becoming a criminal psychopath with a double personality. Harvey is obsessed by duality, and one characteristic of his is to always play a coin with one side marked, to determine the fate of his actions in luck.
