Ghostbusters (1984) Sci-fi film, action and comedy, directed by Ivan Reitman and written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, who also acted. The story shows three parapsychologists and eccentric university professors, who after losing their research funding at Columbia University in New York, create a company specializing in cases of supernatural apparitions. Among the Ghostbusters trademarks is the base in a disabled fire department building, their car a customized 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Ambulance called Ecto-1, and their forbidden logo on the drawing of a frightened ghost.
Raymond Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) is a doctoral scientist and specialist in the history of the paranormal and metallurgy. Responsible, alongside Egon, for the design and construction of the equipment used by the group.
