Ghostbusters (1984) Sci-fi film, action and comedy, directed by Ivan Reitman and written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, who also act. The story shows three parapsychologists and eccentric university professors, who after losing their research funding at Columbia University in New York, create a company specializing in cases of supernatural apparitions. Among the Ghostbusters trademarks is the base in a disabled fire department building, their car a customized 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Ambulance called Ecto-1, and their forbidden logo on the drawing of a frightened ghost.
Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), specializes in parapsychology and Ph.D in psychology, but his irreverent attitude and being a womanizer makes him seen by many as a fake, charlatan and cheater.
